COVID-19 Community Needs

The Skokie Community Foundation seeks to to contribute to and improve the lives of residents in the Village of Skokie, Illinois. To advance this mission, the foundation is inviting applications for its 2021 grant cycle.

This year, the foundation is seeking to fund proposals that address needs in Skokie resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Proposals may address any need, including:

  • adverse childhood experiences/trauma;
  • arts and culture;
  • basic human needs;
  • community development;
  • early childhood,
  • youth and adult education;
  • environmental sustainability;
  • family support/counseling;
  • health care;
  • housing;
  • needs of seniors; and
  • workforce or youth development.

The foundation expects to award $25,000 in this grant cycle, with grant amounts ranging up to $10,000.

Proposals must include two or more organizations collaborating for the benefit of Skokie residents, and one of the co-applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, a school, or a government entity.
